Anyone who has read a few of my blog posts couldn’t fail to notice that I really like breakfast. It’s my favourite meal but at the same time, it’s not one I enjoy making myself. I think being able to get a good breakfast is one of the very best things about living in Chorlton and I intend to try as many as possible. So this morning was the turn of Chorlton Green Brasserie.
Their menu states their food is British, sustainable, organic, free range and locally sourced. Sounds great. The menu was full of tempting options.
I think it’s fab that they do dippy eggs! (For when you are feeling really lazy!)
They do all the things you might expect, full English, Eggs Benedict… Hall & Oats! (I love those guys!)
Everything was tasty and, most importantly, the eggs were cooked to perfection. The only teeny tiny little thing we weren’t too keen on was their version of baked beans.
They were really good, but I think I would have preferred Heinz! I’m a woman if simple tastes, clearly.
The surroundings were comfortable and the staff were friendly. Combine that with an excellent cup of tea, and it’s nice way to spend a morning.
Jonny has put his order in for eggs benedict tomorrow. His school and my work might be bit put out, but hey!
