De Nada

Standard

We got home from work very early and very hungry last night. Due to this, and us being very eager, we were De Nada’s first customers! If you haven’t been past, it’s on Manchester Road and used to be Chopin Bar, but is now a little South American bar that serves delicious home made food.

Simple decor and a simple menu… It’s just to my taste.

My partner ordered the Feijoada, which was served in cute little dishes on a big chunk of wood. It was really tasty, the meat was the kind that melts in your mouth, with good spicy beans and chorizo.

I had the Lomito Completo. It was just the best steak sandwich I’ve ever had. Very messy though, not first date food!

With a side order of bewdiful Barbakan bread and a little pot of something to dip it in, we were completely satisfied.

It might seem if you read all our blog posts that we love everywhere we go… We don’t. We just don’t write about those places 😉

  1. Thanks very much for your posts, but I think you’d be doing us all a service by also writing about the places you visit where you don’t have such positive experiences. I can understand that you don’t want to bad-mouth anyone, and any restaurant can have an off night, but I’m sure you’d do it in a sensitive way. I’d also be interested to hear how you find the 1847 off-shoot on Manchester Road, if you get there. I found the one in the city centre a mixed experience.

    • Thanks for your comment 🙂 If somewhere really disappoints me, I do try to let other people know. See my post about Sher Akbar! This is my most viewed post of all time and it’s also pretty high up on google when you search for them online….which is great for me, but I did feel a bit guilty!

I like the look of 1847, and the summer menu had a few things on that I wanted to try, but I didn’t make it in time, and I can’t see anything on the autumn one that tickles my fancy. I’m sure I’ll visit soon though.
